What to do if your S Pen is not fully charged even though it is inserted into the S Pen slot for quite a long time
When the S Pen's battery is low, just reinsert it in to your Galaxy device for a few minutes and it should fully charge. However, if the S Pen is not fully charged after being inserted into your phone for a long time, follow the guide below to take a few actions.
Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Check 1. Make sure that your phone is not in contact with a magnet
The S Pen may not be recognised properly when the back of your Galaxy device is in contact with a magnet. If you use a magnetic accessory such as a metallic case, the S Pen may not charge properly. Remove the magnetic accessory from your phone and try charging it again.
Check 2. Turn off the multiple S Pens feature
The multiple S Pens feature can sometimes interfere with charging. To turn off this feature, insert the S Pen into your phone until it clicks into place, then follow the steps below.
Check 3. Reset the S Pen and connect it again
You can also try to reset the S Pen and connect it again. If you have customised S Pen settings, resetting the S Pen will return it to its default settings. After inserting the S Pen into the slot until it clicks, initialise the S Pen by following the steps below.
Note: Device screenshots and menus may vary depending on the device model and software version.
