Reset your device without triggering Google Device Protection Verizon

Google Device Protection (also known as Factory Reset Protection) will protect your phone from unauthorized Factory Data Resets if it is stolen or lost. Google Device Protection is enabled automatically by adding a Google account to your phone and setting a Lock screen.

If you want to perform a reset without triggering Google Device Protection, you need to do it through Settings. If the device is reset through the recovery menu, your Google account and password will be required.
