What is Hyperlapse or time lapse camera mode & how to use it

Please Note: that the Hyperlapse mode is only available when using the back camera and is only available on specific devices.

 

The icons and screens may differ slightly from the illustrations below depending on your device, operating system and theme.

Hyperlapse is a feature that allows you to create your own time-lapse video.  It records at various frame rates which automatically adjust to what you’re recording.

To set up Hyperlapse mode, you will need to:

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps
To view the captured panorama, choose the preview thumbnail
2 Choose Camera

3 Choose Hyperlapse

Depending on your device, choose MODE or swipe across the screen to select Hyperlapse mode.

4 Tap the record button

5 Tap the stop icon
Tap the stop icon

To adjust the speed of the Hyperlapse, you will need to: 

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps

3 Choose Hyperlapse

Depending on your device, choose MODE or swipe across the screen to select Hyperlapse mode.

4 Tap the Hyperlapse speed icon. Some devices may need to tap the arrow icon before choosing the Hyperlapse speed icon

5 Choose the desired speed

8 To view the captured Hyperlapse, choose the preview thumbnail
To view the captured Hpyerlapse, tap the preview thumbnail

To enable or disable a timer, you will need to:

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps
To view the captured panorama, choose the preview thumbnail
2 Choose Camera

3 Choose Hyperlapse

Depending on your device, choose MODE or swipe across the screen to select Hyperlapse mode.

4 Tap the settings cog or the arrow icon

5 Tap Timer or the timer icon depending on your device
Tap timer or the timer icon
6 Choose how long you'd like your timer to be for
Choose how long you'd like your timer to be set for
7 Tap the back icon. Please skip to step 9, if your device has automatically closed this window.

8 Tap the back icon again
Tap the back icon again
9 Your chosen timer will be displayed on the screen
Tap the settings cog or the arrow icon
