What are the battery charging features of the Galaxy Book Flex and Book Ion?
Galaxy Books come with a wide range of features that help you cut cords. With Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion, the touchpad is more than just a touchpad – it doubles up as a charging pad - so you can wirelessly charge any Qi-compatible smart device like your smartphone or earbuds. It also supports fast charging where minutes of charge will give you hours of use. You can even charge your Galaxy Book with a compatible USB-C charger, like the one you use for your smartphone.

The touchpad on the Book Flex and Book Ion is more than just a touchpad. It’s also a wireless charging pad that can charge any Qi-compatible device, like your Galaxy smartphone, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Buds, and more.
A simple shortcut button (Fn+F11) starts Wireless PowerShare, which is especially useful for charging a Qi-compatible smartphone and other devices while you’re watching a movie or listening to some music. Find out more about Wireless PowerShare and which devices are compatible.
It’s as easy as just placing your device on the touchpad.
Please note: Wireless PowerShare function can only be activated when your compatible Galaxy Book is connected to a power source, or when your battery charge level is at 30% or more.
Both the Book Flex and Book Ion support fast charge, which means that even if you run out of battery, you can get hours of use with just minutes of charge.
You can also charge your Galaxy Book with any compatible USB-C smartphone charger and even a compatible external battery pack. So, if you leave for the day without your adaptor, you can easily find ways to power up, even when you run out of battery.
Please note: Compatible external battery packs must be 10W (5V, 2A) or higher and support USBBC 1.2.

Even with such a slim and light design, Galaxy Books come with impressive battery capacity. The Book Flex comes with a 69.7Wh battery capacity and the Book Ion has a battery capacity of 66.9Wh that powers the device for over 20 hours on a single charge.
When Book Flex is fully charged, the 13.3" model provides 20 hours of battery life and the 15.6" model provides 19 hours of use time.
When Book Ion is fully charged, the 13.3” model provides 22 hours of battery life, and the 15.6” provides 21 hours of use time.
On average, if you use your notebook for 8 to 10 hours a day, you could easily last for a couple of days without having to recharge. Also, a 30-minute charge can give you over 4 hours of use.
