Freestanding dishwasher installation

What this service includes

  • Delivery, unpacking, and connection of your appliance
  • Connection to the water mains (where applicable) and a safe connection to existing electrical supply (socket included)
  • Removal and disposal of all packaging

We also offer a Collection and Recycling service, where we recycle or dispose of your old appliance responsibly, as applicable. You can select this option at checkout for an additional cost.

What this service doesn’t include

  • Changes to the plumbing supply at your property
  • Correcting wiring issues for the electricity supply
  • Reversal of doors
  • Installing freestanding appliances where an integrated appliance has been fitted previously
  • Run a test cycle - dishwashers don’t have a test setting like washing machines do, so you’ll be able to test if when you use it for the first time

What happens next

We’ll email you to confirm we received your order and are processing it, and then again when it’s left our warehouse and reached our partner, AIT Home Delivery.

AIT Home Delivery will then be in touch by SMS and Email to confirm your delivery date, and will contact you on the day before delivery with an estimated time slot, and again on the day of your delivery to confirm your one-hour delivery slot.

If the item you ordered is very heavy (135kg or more), or if the delivery address is outside of our standard delivery area, AIT Home Delivery will send you an SMS and Email asking you to book your delivery slot with them directly.

Once installed, our installation partner will take a photograph of your new appliance and ask you to sign-off the installation.

What you need to do

  • Before you order, make sure the measurements of the installation area match the dimensions of your chosen appliance. See our dishwasher buying guide for more information.
  • Make sure the route from your front door to wherever you want the appliance to be installed is clear and free from obstructions
  • Ensure that there’s a working plug socket within 1 metre of where the appliance will be placed
  • If you choose Collection and Recycling, you must disconnect your appliance, fully drain of water (where applicable), and make it easily accessible for collection
