Make the most of your adventures with Samsung and Galaxy AI

Introducing Found in Translation – Samsung’s search to appoint a ‘Galaxy AI Champion.’ A person to travel the world and put its
Galaxy AI to the test.

For many of us, not speaking the local language can impact our experiences on holiday, with 72% admitting that they would have a better experience abroad if they were able to communicate with the locals more. An additional
72% agree that they would be able to experience more hidden gems if they could overcome these language barriers, and the research also found that people struggle with basics like ordering food (26%) and asking for directions
(35%)¹.

Galaxy AI can help you overcome these challenges. For example, its Live Translate and Interpreter features allow effortless communication with locals, so you can navigate exciting destinations and discover new spots only true
natives know.

To celebrate the gift of adventure that Galaxy AI can give you, Samsung has partnered with Emily in Paris star Samuel Arnold to offer one traveller the unique opportunity to be appointed as its new Galaxy AI Champion.

The successful candidate will be provided with their very own Galaxy Z Flip6 and a travel fund to help shape their own unique holiday, where they can see the power of Galaxy AI and tools like Interpreter and Circle to Search in action.

“Experiencing different cultures and getting lost in new destinations is good for the soul. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Samsung to give someone the opportunity to make their travel dreams come true. The Galaxy AI Champion will be able to throw themselves into their adventures, knowing that apps like Live Translate and Circle To Search will be there to assist them every step of the way.”

Samuel's Top Tips

"Let’s be real, so much of travel is about food and drink – and finding the best spots for it! After all, what better way to understand a new place than through the food? And because many of us have limited time on holiday, it’s so important to make every experience count.

My favourite way of finding the coolest places to go in a new city is to ask a local barman for their recommendations – they’re always the people in the know. I love that with Samsung’s Galaxy AI features you can effortlessly do this – communicating with locals with ease so that you can navigate new destinations and discover new spots only true natives know.

Let me be your barman for Paris, a city I know so well. Here are my top 5 bars and restaurants to visit:

Restaurant Pavyllion Paris - Nicolas Aleno: For a big occasion or just to treat yourself with one of the best gastronomy cuisine in Paris.

Restaurant Shisho burger: If you like Asian cuisine and burgers this place is definitely for you!

Bar Player one: You love video games sci fi and pop culture in general? This bar will immerse you in different worlds where the cocktails match the themes.

Loulou restaurant: Excellent food and amazing view as you’ll be eating in a garden near the pyramid of Le Louvre museum."

“Traveling is about more than just seeing new places; it’s about connecting with people and cultures in a meaningful way. That’s why I’m thrilled to partner with Samsung to celebrate how Galaxy AI can help us all get the most out of our adventures. This mobile technology is a game-changer for travellers everywhere, breaking down language barriers and making every interaction richer. With features like Live Translate and Photo Assist, we’re not just passing through; we’re engaging deeply with the world around us. It’s not just about the journey or the destination - it’s about the connections and memories we make along the way.”

Brontë King's Travel Tips

"When you start your journey you often have no idea what to expect, who you’re going to meet or sometimes, even where the trip is going to take you. Here are my top five tips for travelling to help you along the way:

1. Group tours- this gives you an opportunity to make connections with other travellers and to have everything planned for you. Whether this is a day group tour or the whole trip I really recommend looking into this.

2. Accessible translation - wherever I am in the world I always make a conscious effort to learn the basics of the local language e.g. hello, thank you, please. However, having the power of an interpreter in your pocket is incredibly helpful. Galaxy AI and the translation tools allow you to speak into the phone and translate immediately on the spot. It also translates phone calls which is so incredibly helpful!

3. Cash - I know it’s 2024 and AI can do anything but cash whilst travelling is essential. You don’t know where you may be that doesn’t take card so always have an emergency supply of cash with you

4. Selfie mode - if you want to take the best selfies on your trip, FlexCam on the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Photo Assist can make it happen. All you have to do is pose and Auto Zoom will find your best angle! You can then fine tune the image the way you want with Photo Assist.

5. Less is more - overpacking is not a good idea. A few staple items, two pairs of shoes, a swimsuit, your wash bag and a towel. Trust me, when you’re hopping around packing and unpacking you’ll thank yourself for going minimalist, oh and packing cubes! They’re an essential to keep everything nice and compact."

How Galaxy AI can help you make the most of your adventures

Live Translate: overcome language barriers while travelling using Live Translate, which automatically translates voice calls. So you can easily book your hotels and restaurants over the phone.2

Interpreter: this tool helps with real-time translation, so you can confidently converse with locals and find the best hidden gems, ask for directions, or even order your favourite food at restaurants.

Photo Assist: make amazing memories even better with Photo Assist by seamlessly removing unwanted photo bombers, perfecting lighting and editing your holiday photos to perfection.3

And on top of all that, Circle to Search with Google is an efficient way to search on your smartphone to help make your dream adventure a reality. Tap and hold the home key and then use your finger to circle the item you want to find. Whether it’s a new destination you’ve spotted on social media or tracking down delicious local dishes your favourite influencers have shared – you never need to miss out again.4
