How to use Smart Hub Home on your Samsung Smart TV
Samsung Smart TVs include access to Smart Hub, which contains apps, services, and features on the TV’s Home screen. If you have recently purchased a Samsung Smart TV and are unsure how to use or navigate Smart Hub, you can review the information in our guide for assistance.
The following is required to use the various features on Smart Hub Home:
- You must be connected to a network.
- You must agree to the Smart Hub terms and conditions.
- You must log in using a Samsung Account.
The following is available on Smart Hub Home:
Left sidebar of the Home screen
Contains services and options for your Samsung Account, as well as Search, Ambient, Daily+, and Gaming Hub. You can navigate to these options by pressing the left button on the TV’s remote control.
Home screen tabs
- For You: Recommended content for you.
Note: Depending on the model, region, input signal, or settings, features may not be supported, or feature names may vary.
- Live: Content from antenna sources, STB (Set-Top-Box) sources, and Samsung TV Plus. If only a network connection is available, Samsung TV Plus channels will be shown.
- Apps: Available apps.
Rearrange app tiles
You can also rearrange your app tiles. Hover over your desired app tile, press and hold Select, and then use the left or right directional buttons on the remote to move it to the desired position.
You can also navigate all the way to the right of the app list, and then select List Edit. Select the app you want to move, then use the left or right directional buttons on the remote to move it to the desired position.
Settings menu
Press the left button on the TV’s remote control, and then select Settings to display the Quick settings options. Quick settings can be used to configure frequently used features.
Press the right and left buttons to navigate through the available options, such as Sound Output, Brightness, Picture Mode, Sound Mode, Intelligent Mode, Bluetooth Devices, and Wi-Fi.
All Settings will contain individual options and settings for Picture, Sound, Connection, Broadcasting, General & Privacy, and Support.
You can quickly access the settings by pressing the Settings/Number/Color(Option) button on the remote. Continuously press the Settings/Number/Color(Option) button to cycle through the options in the bottom left corner of the screen:
- Number/Color: Enter the desired channel number using the virtual number pad.
- Settings: Access and execute Quick settings, such as Sound Output, Brightness, Picture Mode, Sound Mode, Intelligent Mode, Bluetooth Devices, and Wi-Fi.
- SmartThings: Monitor and control your connected smart devices.
Rearrange setting tiles
The Connected Devices menu lets you quickly change the TV’s input source in order to connect to and display another external device. You can use this menu to monitor and manage your TV’s connected external devices as well as change the input name and icon of an external device.
- Edit: Rename the input port or change the device icon.
- Information: View information about the device.
- Add to Home: Add a device shortcut to the Home screen.
You can also use these additional functions:
- SmartThings: You’ll be able to monitor and control your home’s smart devices.
- Camera Experience: View a guide to help you connect a USB camera.
- Connection Guide: View device connection instructions. For example, you can connect game consoles, PCs, Blu-ray players, and monitors.
- Universal Remote Setup: Register external devices to your Samsung remote control. You can control the devices using the remote control.
