Solid foreign object and water resistance rating (IP ratings) guide

The Galaxy Ring is waterproof and dustproof to meet international standard of IP68.

Certified to 10 atmospheres of water (10 ATM):

Tested following the requirements of ISO standard 22810:2010 by submerging the product in fresh water, applying a pressure equivalent to 100 meters, and leaving it stationary for 10 minutes.

IPX8 water resistance rating certified:

Tested following the requirements of IEC Standard 60529 by submerging in 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes.

Certified IP6X dust resistant:

Tested according to IEC standard 60529, where the product is connected to a vacuum pump (capable of processing 40-60 volumes of air per hour) and then placed in a dust chamber (particle diameter D<50um, density 2kg/m³) where it is left for 2 hours.

• This product can be exposed in environments such as:
- Sweat generated during exercise
- Washing hands
- In the rain
- Swimming in a pool or shallow water

• Water and dust resistance is not permanent, and the product's water and dust resistance may deteriorate over time.

• To ensure normal water and dust resistance behavior, please note the following:
- Disinfectants or salts in pool water or seawater may affect the waterproof performance. To maintain optimal performance, rinse with clean water after swimming, then thoroughly wipe with a soft, clean cloth before using again.

• After exposure to liquids other than clean water (such as coffee, beverages, soapy water, oils, perfumes, and chemicals such as sunscreen, hand sanitiser, and cosmetics), rinse the Ring with clean water, wipe with a soft, clean cloth, and dry thoroughly before use to maintain water resistance.

• Avoid freediving, scuba diving, high-speed water sports (such as jet skiing), swimming in fast-moving ravines, or contact with pressure washers while wearing the Ring. These activities can cause a rapid increase in water pressure, potentially exceeding our guaranteed water resistance.

• If the product experiences external impact or damage, it may lose its water or dust resistance.

• Do not disassemble the product yourself. This may damage the water or dust resistance.

• Avoid using heating devices such as hair dryers to dry the Ring, and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes in environments such as saunas and steam rooms. This may impair its water resistance.

How to correctly wear your Galaxy Ring

Put the Ring on your finger with the wear direction markings on the Ring facing your palm. We recommend putting the Ring on a finger that fits comfortably, not too tight or too loose.

How to prevent scratches while using the Galaxy Ring

• Rubber pads are installed on the Ring’s storage cradle to prevent movement while the Ring is mounted. Slight indentations may occur on the Ring’s inner band where the rubber pads touch if stored for long periods. This does not affect the functional performance of the Ring.

• Please be careful not to damage your ring when handling other objects (phones, phone cases, watches, etc.) while wearing it.

• Certain features, like step counting, may not work properly if you're holding a magnet or a magnetic object in the hand wearing the ring.

• Nicks and scratches can occur if you are not careful while wearing your ring, even during everyday activities. As these are not covered by the warranty, please handle your ring with care.

• Wear your ring on the hand you use less frequently.

• Avoid wearing metal Rings on the same finger or adjacent fingers.

• Remove your Ring when lifting or handling heavy, hard objects.

• Don't wear your Ring during exercises that use machines, especially those that involve gripping a hard bar-like object such as weights, dumbbells, or iron bars, as this could cause hand injuries.

• Make sure your finger and ring are clean and dry before wearing the ring.

• If you experience any skin irritation while wearing the ring, stop wearing it immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Causes of the Ring glowing while sleeping

Green, red, and IR lights turn on as your heart rate, sleep stage, and oxygen saturation are measured while you sleep.

Effects of activities on battery life

• Battery life varies greatly depending on your settings, network environment, usage patterns, and other factors.

• Depending on how often you use features such as blood oxygen during sleep (SPO2 measurement), skin temperature during sleep, automatic recognition of exercise, and gesture detection, your usage time may vary and may be longer when these features are turned off.

How to remove the Galaxy Ring if it is stuck

If you need to cut the Ring off in an emergency, cut it along the orientation indicator to avoid damaging its battery.
