How to connect your Galaxy device to Galaxy Book4 with Phone Link

Connect your Galaxy phone and Galaxy Book4 for seamless multitasking using Phone Link and Link to Windows. Easily mirror your phone's screen, view notifications, transfer files and media, and respond to messages and calls. You can also use your favorite Microsoft apps on your phone and sync files on both devices.

Note :- 

  • This feature will work on select Galaxy devices.
  • Images simulated. Actual UX/UI may differ.
  • User must sign in with same Microsoft account in both devices.
  • Link to Windows’ is preloaded on select Samsung Galaxy devices. Laptop (Microsoft Phone Link app) requires Windows 10 or later version.
  • Microsoft Phone Link recommends having the Samsung Galaxy device and Laptop connected to  the same Wi-Fi network initially; Later, users can use mobile data on their Galaxy device.
  • Some mobile apps may restrict content sharing on other screens. Some related features may vary by device.
  • Android device must be Android 7.0 or later
  • Bluetooth connectivity required for certain features.

Follow below instructions to connect your Galaxy device to Galaxy Book4 series

Ensure your Galaxy book is up to date and has a Microsoft account enabled.

1 Swipe down the quick panel.

2 Tap Link to Windows icon.

3 Sign in with your Microsoft account*. Tap Done to complete the setup.

* Follow the on screen prompts to complete the setup.

4 Link to Windows settings screen will automatically appear on your phone. Toggle the switch to turn it On.

5 Click Phone Link app on your Galaxy Book and tap on Android or iOS.

Note: If unable to view Phone Link on the device then download/update the app from Microsoft Store.

6 Tap Continue again and allow the permissions.

Note:- Follow the on-screen instructions on both devices to finish connecting your phone and laptop.

7 Your devices are now successfully linked. You can use the Phone Link app on your PC to answer calls and messages, sync your photos, and screen mirror your phone.

Messages

Read and respond to texts directly from your laptop without needing to unlock your Galaxy phone.

Calls

Check your Galaxy phone’s call history, search contacts, or make calls directly from your Windows laptop.

Note:- 

  • While using the call feature, make sure you have sync the contacts & allowed the permissions on your device.
  • Under Link to Windows settings, turn on Use a mobile data & Instant Hotspot options.

Apps

Use your favorite Galaxy phone apps on your Windows PC.

Photos

View images from your camera roll and easily drag and drop, or copy and paste them to other apps.
