Game Bar just got even better on your Samsung Smart TV
If you relied on the Game Bar in the past or want to take your gaming experience to the next level, you will be psyched to hear that the Game Bar on 2022 Samsung Smart TV models is even better! There is a new Minimap Zoom feature to help you see better, a new way to customize the Picture Mode for your gameplay, and more!
Note: Information provided applies to 2022 Samsung TVs sold in Canada. Available screens and settings may vary for 2022 Samsung TVs sold in other countries.
Note: In addition to Game Mode being enabled, a game console or PC needs to be connected to the TV in order for the Game Bar to appear.

In order to access the Game Bar, you need to make sure Game Mode is turned on. To do this, press and hold the Home button on the TV's remote, and then select All Settings. Select Connection, and then select Game Mode Settings. Make sure Game Mode is set to On or Auto.
When you want open the Game Bar, press and hold the Play/Pause button on your TV’s remote.
Below are the features available on the 2022 Game Bar, including the new Game Picture Mode, Minimap Zoom, and Help Guide:
- Input Lag: Set the Input Lag status for playing games.
Note: If you select Fastest, Game Motion Plus mode will be disabled.
- Game Picture Mode (New): Change the Game Picture Mode according to the current game’s genre. For example, you can set the picture genre to FPS (first person shooter) if that is the type of game you are playing. To customize the picture quality, select Custom.
- Screen Ratio: You can change the screen ratio from 16:9 (the default setting) to Ultra wide (21:9 or 32:9).
Note: Ultra wide is only available when the source is set to PC.
- Minimap Zoom (New): Zoom in on the Minimap or a desired area of the screen, and adjust the zoom rate.
Note: This feature is only available when using an aspect ratio of 21:9 or 32:9.
- Sound Output: Change the sound output device (e.g. TV speaker, soundbar, Bluetooth headset, etc.).
- Help Guide (New): View details on how to use each menu item.
- Game Mode Settings: Open the Game Mode Settings menu.
- Current status display: Adjust different display settings to achieve your desired results. On previous models, these display settings were listed separately.
- FPS: Shows the number of frames per second in real time. If VRR is active, the frame rate changes.
- HDR: Displays “ON” when an HDR game is running.
- VRR: Shows the variable refresh rate.
