Galaxy Tab S4 - Keep Your Tablet Optimized with Device Maintenance (SM-T830)
Just like people, your tablet can get tired if it's constantly working. That's where Device Maintenance comes in. It can clean up your tablet's memory, storage, and more to help it feel refreshed. It also provides an overview of the status of your tablet's battery, storage, RAM, and tablet security.
Screens and settings available may vary depending on your Canadian wireless service provider and your software version.
The more you use your tablet, the more memory and storage will be used. Over time, unwanted files can build up on your tablet. Optimize your tablet, so it always runs its best. To improve your tablet's performance, navigate to Settings. Touch Device maintenance, and then touch OPTIMIZE NOW. When the optimization is complete, review what's been optimized, and then touch DONE.
Here's what optimization does to help your tablet's performance:
• Identify apps that use excessive battery power and clears unneeded items from memory.
• Delete unnecessary files and close apps running in the background.
• Scan for malware.
Your tablet's battery life depends on the apps you use and the features you have set. For example, if you have your brightness set to max, the bettery will drain faster. With the Battery settings, you can view battery usage data, extend your battery life, stop apps that are running in the background, and select apps to go to sleep.
From Settings, search for and select Battery. Use the available features to improve your tablet's battery usage.
Ugh, that ad keeps bugging you. Did you know that ad files and other unnecessary data can be stored on your tablet without your knowledge? Free up storage space by using the Storage settings, which will delete unnecessary data, such as cached, residual, and advertisement files.
From Settings, search for and select Storage. Touch CLEAN NOW to delete unnecessary data.
Sometimes, apps will continue running the background, even if you close them. You have 10 apps still running and not even realize it! You can free up memory by stopping those apps.
From Settings, search for and select Memory. Touch CLEAN NOW to improve tablet performance.
