A guide to charging your Galaxy Ring
Charging your Galaxy Ring is straightforward with three methods available: USB-C charging, wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare. Each method requires the specialized charging case provided with your ring. This guide will detail each option to ensure you understand how to effectively charge your device.
Note: For optimal performance, fully charge your Galaxy Ring before its initial use. If the battery is depleted, a minimum ten-minute charge is required to activate it. Always use the included charging case for any of the charging methods.
Your Galaxy Ring includes a charging case equipped with a USB-C cable. This versatile case allows you to charge the ring either independently or simultaneously with the case. Here’s how to use USB-C charging effectively:
Note: The Galaxy Ring will charge first when placed inside the case. Once the ring is fully charged, the charging case will then begin to charge.
To charge your Galaxy Ring using a wireless charger, follow the steps below. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use Samsung-branded wireless chargers.
Note: The Galaxy Ring will receive priority charging within the case. After the ring is fully charged, the charging case will then start to charge.
The Galaxy Ring's charging case features an integrated battery, allowing it to charge the ring independently. If you've already charged the case, it's ready to power your ring. Just place the Galaxy Ring inside the case, and it will start charging immediately, no additional power source required.
Note: A fully charged case has enough capacity to fully recharge the Galaxy Ring's battery up to 1.6 times.
Charge your Galaxy Ring effortlessly with Wireless PowerShare technology. Simply ensure the Galaxy Ring is placed inside its charging case, then position the case on the back of a compatible Galaxy phone or tablet.
Monitor the battery level of your Galaxy Ring conveniently through the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone. The app will display the remaining battery percentage at the top of the screen.
Additionally, the indicator light on the charging case provides a quick visual cue of the remaining battery. When all lights flash, the Galaxy Ring is fully charged.
The Galaxy Ring boasts a battery life of up to 7 days on a full charge with consecutive use. To maintain optimal battery health, it is advisable to store the Ring in the charging case when not in use. A full recharge takes approximately 90 minutes. However, when charging for the first time or from a completely drained state, the Galaxy Ring may require at least ten minutes of charging before it begins to operate.
Battery capacity by ring size:
- Sizes 5, 6, and 7: 17 mAh battery, lasting up to 6 days on a single charge.
- Sizes 8, 9, 10, and 11: 18.5 mAh battery, lasting up to 6 days on a single charge.
- Sizes 12 and 13: 22.5 mAh battery, lasting up to 7 days on a single charge.
Pairing the Galaxy Ring with a Galaxy Watch enhances its utility. This combination extends the Ring’s battery life by up to 30%, with the watch functioning as the primary device. This setup allows certain features of the Galaxy Ring, such as heart rate and sleep tracking, to temporarily deactivate to conserve energy. Should the Galaxy Watch's battery deplete, the Galaxy Ring will automatically resume health tracking.
Note: Battery life and charge times can vary based on the Galaxy Ring’s size, network conditions, personal usage patterns, frequency of calls and messages, and other environmental factors. Results may differ depending on these variables.
