How to Operate the Samsung Refrigerator Dual Ice Maker

Samsung’s Dual Ice Maker offers the ultimate convenience with two types of ice: large cubes and small ice bites. Each ice maker has its own tray, allowing you to easily choose and access your preferred ice type. You can use both ice makers simultaneously or select just one, depending on your needs.

Note: The design of the dual ice maker, accessories, and ice scoop may vary depending on the refrigerator model.

Note: For initial use, activate both Ice Makers and allow them to produce ice for 1 to 2 days. Afterward, discard the ice to eliminate any impurities in the water supply.

Turning on the Dual Ice Maker is simple and only requires a few steps. If these steps don't work for your model, refer to your refrigerator's user manual for detailed instructions.

1 Start by waking up the refrigerator’s display panel by pressing any button.
2 Hold the O button down until the Ice Maker indicator starts flashing.

3 Use the < or > buttons to choose which ice maker you want to activate or deactivate.
4 Wait 5 seconds or press the O button again to confirm your selection.
5 The Ice Maker indicator will stop blinking.

6 Once the ice is ready, slide out the ice bucket to remove the ice, then slide it back in to replace it.

Note: If ice starts to build up on one side of the ice bucket, just redistribute the ice evenly. After that, let the Ice Maker resume making ice.

1 Take out the ice bucket from the Ice Maker you want to test, then find the Test button located on the bottom of the Ice Maker. The button may be labeled "Test," depending on your model.

2 Press and hold the Test button until you hear a brief chime.
3 A second short chime will sound if the Ice Maker is working properly.
4 Once finished, be sure to replace the ice bucket.
